Ill Ted C. Collins, 33° Deputy to the Supreme Council in Georgia
Ill. Ted C. Collins, 33° was born May 29, 1950 in Unadilla, Georgia, to Wendall and Christine Collins, a family that has lived in Unadilla for four generations. He graduated from Unadilla High School in 1968 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Georgia Southwestern. College in 1972.
He married the former Charlene Green of Oglethorpe in 1973. She is an elementary school teacher in the Macon County Elementary School. Bro. Ted and Charlene are the parents of a daughter, Wendy. Bro. Collins retired from the U. S. Postal Service in 2006 after 32 years of service.
Ill. Ted and Charlene are members of the Unadilla United Methodist Church where he has served as Sunday School superintendent (1987-1990); chairman of the Finance Committee (1991-1995, 2000-2001), treasurer of the Building Committee, president of United Methodist Men (2000-2001), chairman of the Administrative Board (1996-2000), and trustee of the Dooly United Methodist Camp Ground (1990-2000). He was chairman of the Unadilla Christmas parade in 1989¬1990.
Elected Most Worshipful Grand Master at the 221" Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Georgia in October, raised in Millwood Lodge No. 198 in 1977. Several family members, his father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather have held membership in Millwood Lodge. Bro. Ted served as Worshipful Master of Millwood Lodge in 1993, as have his brother, uncle, and great grandfather. Bro. Ted served as secretary of Millwood Lodge from 1997-2000. He is also a charter member of the Middle Georgia Daylight Lodge.
Ill. Ted C. Collins has served as director of Masonic Leadership for the Third Masonic District (1993) and was Master of the Third Masonic District Convention in 1999. During his year as Master of the Third Masonic District, the Brethren began a hard push to become 100% in contributions to the Masonic Home Endowment Fund. The Brethren achieved their goal in 2000, thanks in large measure to Bro. Ted's leadership, inspiration and hard work. The Third Masonic District Convention named him Mason of the Year in 2000. He was appointed District Deputy to the Grand Master by MWB Clyde Griffin.
He is a Past High Priest of Middle Georgia Chapter No. 165, RAM; Past Illustrious Master of Saliba McDaniel Council No. 34, R&SM; and Past Commander of St. Michael Commandery No. 43, Knights Templar. He is also a member of Chattahoochee York Rite College and is a KYCH.
He is a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Macon, in which he has served as Chaplain. He received the Rank and Decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honor.

He has served as president of the Flint River Scottish Rite Association, has been a member of the Valley of Macon Scottish Rite Executive Committee and is a member of the Children's Health Care of Atlanta Child Care Committee. He was chairman of the Valley of Macon Scottish Rite Association Committee in 2001-2003.
He is a member of Al Sihah Shrine Temple and has been an Al Sihah Temple Ambassador. He has served as secretary/ treasurer of the Dooly County Shrine Club and was president of the Dooly County Shrine Club from 1995-1997.
Ill. Ted C. Collins is a member of New Covenant Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine; Georgia Council No. 304, Allied Masonic Degrees; and Tall Pines Forest No. 203, Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
Ill. Ted C. Collins is a member of the George Washington Chapter of the Order of DeMolays. He received the Distinguished Service Medal from the Grand Lodge in 2000 and holds the Grand Cross of Color from the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
